| yeah, i suppose i should update this thing. i'm usually not this bad at it, but so it goes. i've been in LA since the end of september, and it's been great. just landed a full-time job (i start monday) and i've been having fun with the part-time ones since i moved. have met a lot of really fantastic people and had some bizarre celeb run-ins (turns out i was at neil patrick harris's block party on halloween...wtf!) and generally a good life. plus, it's sunny and warm while the rest of the country is freezing. suckers! *g* anywho. just thought i'd pop in and let anyone still reading know i'm alive and well, and i do keep up with xanga despite my lack of posting. | | |

i'm moving to LA oct 1. and will be there, you know, for the living and the working. aaaaaaaand...that is pretty much all. mom and i went out there last week to get things settled and i loved it. love the character of the city. love the weather. yup. good times.

| oh ho, summer, how fast you flew. musicians studio was yesterday and it was brilliantly fantastic. i quit at borders and am done on labor day, which means i get time-and-a-half on my last day, hwwwwwah. and i might have found a roommate for LA in the most unexpected of places.
and i'm wondering if we just try and risk everything for love, how can we ever go wrong | | |

borders is blah. i am reading a great book. 'one good turn' by kate atkinson. i know the fake quotes are wrong there, but i'm too lazy to html the italics. ptthbpt. anyway, the book is fantastic, and comes out in hardcover in october, so read it, y'all.
also, i'm buying laurel canyon on dvd and the soundtrack for the new zach braff move, the name of which is escaping me right now. the last kiss? fuck if i know. anyway, it's supposed to be like a sequel to the garden state soundtrack, and how is that ever bad? plus, it's got imogen's 'hide and seek' and rachael yamagata's 'reason why' on it. only thing better would be a lil' bird.
speaking of, we've got her pinned down for musicians studio, so i am officially pumped beyond measure for this interview. i'm going to work like a demon for the next two weeks to promote it. WHEE. | | |
